Cookies and local storage
Cookies are browser values that may be sent with requests. Local storage keeps a value for a site without sending it automatically. This policy covers both and similar identifiers.
Dezly uses local storage for its own preference control. Third-party advertising may set cookies only after advertising permission and where legally allowed.
The preference record
The site stores JSON under dezly_consent_v2: consent version, essential status, analytics choice, advertising choice, and save time. It remains until changed, cleared, or replaced by a new version.
This record respects your choice and is not used to create a marketing profile.
Categories
| Category | Default | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | On | Remember privacy choices, deliver pages, and support security. |
| Analytics | Off | Permit aggregate measurement if analytics is configured. |
| Advertising | Off | Permit Google AdSense and selected consent signals. |
Analytics
No analytics library loads just because the page opens. If configured later, its provider, purposes, identifiers, and retention will be documented before activation.
Saving analytics permission allows the category but does not mean an analytics service is currently active.
Advertising and AdSense
After advertising permission, Dezly may load Google AdSense using the publisher account in page metadata. Google and partners may process cookies, device information, ad interactions, approximate location, and consent signals.
Exact identifiers and durations vary by region, browser, ad format, and provider configuration. Advertising stays off until permission is saved.
Global Privacy Control
If the browser exposes Global Privacy Control, the site keeps advertising permission disabled even if the switch was selected previously. This supports opt-out requirements for targeted advertising and qualifying data sharing.
Change your choice
Select Cookie settings in the footer. Saving Essential only withdraws optional permission for future activity. You can also clear site data for dezly.co.
Changing preference does not automatically remove identifiers already created by a third-party service; use provider controls or clear relevant browser data.
Browser controls
Browsers can block cookies, restrict cross-site tracking, clear storage, or use private mode. Blocking all storage may make the banner reappear, but core reading pages remain available.
Do Not Track
Older Do Not Track signals lack a consistent response standard. Dezly gives effect to explicit settings and Global Privacy Control as described above.
Changes and contact
This policy changes when material providers or identifiers change. Questions: privacy@dezly.co.
Consent implementation notes
The interface sends denied signals before any optional Google request and updates those signals only after a saved choice. The AdSense library is not present in the initial page response. Preferences are versioned so a material change can require a fresh decision.
A custom interface is not automatically a Google-certified consent management platform. Dezly must integrate a certified CMP in regions or configurations where Google requires one, and must test that implementation before enabling ads there.
